All Inbound Passengers To St. Kitts And Nevis Required To Submit Customs, Border, And Health Entry Form Before Departure; Unvaccinated Returning Nationals Must Quarantine For Nine Days

Basseterre, St. Kitts, December 09, 2021 (SKNIS): All inbound passengers into the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis are required to complete and submit the Customs, Border, and Health Entry Form found at www.knatravelform.kn before departure. The Form must be approved by the Ministry of National Security for entry, but entry may also be denied.

All travellers to the Federation including returning nationals, tourists, or international travellers must submit a COVID-19 Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain reaction Laboratory-Based Molecular Test (RT-PCR Test) done within 72 hours of travel at an ISO 17025/CLIA accredited laboratory.

Additionally, vaccinated returning nationals, inbound tourists or international travellers over 18 years old with a negative RT-PCR test will not be required to undergo quarantine effective Saturday, 11th December 2021 nor take an RT-PCR test upon arrival, nor be obligated to take an approved taxi from the airport, but can be picked up by a private vehicle from the airport’s parking lot.  However, unvaccinated returning nationals must quarantine for nine (9) days and be administered a COVID-19 test on the 9th day with a negative result before being released into the general public. They are also obligated to use the COVID-19 approved taxis at the airport for transport to their quarantine site.

Also, unvaccinated 12-17 year olds must quarantine for nine days and follow the same procedures of being tested on the 9th day with a negative result before they are released. Children under 12 years old travelling with their parents will be subjected to the same rules for their parents who are vaccinated or unvaccinated. This means that children travelling with fully vaccinated parents or guardians will not have to quarantine not take an RT-PCR test upon arrival. However, unvaccinated parents or guardians travelling with children under 12 years old will be subjected to the same rules for the unvaccinated, along with their children.

If unvaccinated persons desire to quarantine at home, they will have to pay for their own security. The home quarantine application form can be found at www.covid19.gov.kn

It must also be noted that persons under 18 years old, who are classified as children, and who have to quarantine for nine days must be accompanied in quarantine by an adult.
