All Stars Females win on run rate

Rain had the final say as the matches in the Sports Department /Development Bank tape ball cricket league continued on Thursday night.

There were two scheduled matches but only one started and the rain ensured that it was not completed.

Pennyless All Stars females batted first and led by a superb hand by Senaldo Willet who top scored with 45, they eventually got to 90 in their allotted 10 overs.

When the Nurses team batted, they were 22 for 2 from 5 overs when the rains came.  Umpire Carl Tuckett then determined the game based on where both teams were after five overs and the All stars team was well ahead on 40 after five overs and declared winners.

No more play was possible for the evening due to the soggy outfield.
