Alzheimer’s Month Activities

Basseterre, St. Kitts, September 7, 2019 (ZIZ News): Care givers of persons with Alzheimer’s and persons in the early stages of Alzheimer’s are being invited to a fun day for caregivers hosted by the St. Kitts and Nevis Alzheimer’s Association.

The fun day will form part of activities being host in commemoration of World Alzheimer’s Month which began on September 1st.

President of the Association Dr. Joan Rawlins outlined what the fun day will be about, noting that snacks and lunch will be served.

She said these types of events are important for caregivers as they are usually focused on the persons in their care and rarely have time to enjoy themselves.

The caregivers fun day will be held on Tuesday September 10th at the old boys school at 10 am.

Alzheimer’s month 2019 is guided by the theme “Let’s Talk about Dementia: End the Stigma”.
