American Airlines Recognizes Employees at Robert L. Bradshaw Airport in St. Kitts for Excellence in Customer Service

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, 16th May 2013 – The American Airlines team at Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport in St. Kitts (SKB) celebrates a customer service victory this week as American honored its local airport team with the Customer Cup award for improved customer service for the first quarter of 2013.

The Customer Cup award is categorized by market size from largest to smallest airports according to flight activity. The award recognizes employees for their performance in customer service at the airport and is based on customer feedback. The American team at St. Kitts was awarded the Customer Cup for improvements in various metrics including likelihood to recommend, overall flight experience and on-time departures.

American Airlines is serviced by American Eagle employees at Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport. Team members put forth their best effort assisting customers with the check-in process, minimizing customers’ wait at the gate and providing personalized service throughout the travel process.

“This award reflects the passion, commitment and hard work of our team in St. Kitts, and it is evidence of their constant focus on our customers,” said Alfredo Gonzalez, American’s Managing Director for the Caribbean, who traveled to St. Kitts for the celebration. “This award recognizes the team’s commitment to deliver excellent customer service and create a memorable travel experience for all our clients.”

The Customer Cup is part of a wider focus American has put toward improving customer experience, and employees are encouraged to bring forward ideas and solutions to improve the travel experience.

Currently, American offers flights to St. Kitts from Miami and New York JFK. The airline offers up to 11 weekly flights between St. Kitts and the United States.
