An estimated 45,000 and 149,000 cruise passengers expected monthly during 2014/2015 season

Basseterre, St. Kitts (CUOPM) — The 2014/2015 St. Kitts Cruise Ship Season is expected to bring in an estimated one million cruise passengers aboard 370 ship calls to St. Kitts’ Port Zante and the Deep Water Port .

The season, which started on October 1st, has seen the arrival of 8,242 from two ship calls. Over 51,000 passengers are expected during the month of October from 17 ship calls.

According to the cruise itineraries of the St. Kitts Tourism Authority and the St. Christopher Air and Sea Ports Authority (SCASPA), 76,000 cruise passengers are expected in November 2014 from 33 ship calls; 149,000 passengers in December 2014 from 60 ship visits; 149,000 passengers in January 2015 from 48 ship calls; 130,000 passengers in February 2015 from 48 ship visits; 130,000 passengers in March 2015 from 55 ship visits; 91,000 passengers in April 2015 from 31 ship calls; 58,000 passengers in May 2015 from 16 ship visits; 59,000 passengers in June 2015 from 16 ships; 45,000 passengers in July 2015 from 12 ship calls; 49,000 passengers in August 2015 from 13 ship calls and 48,000 passengers in September 2015 from 13 ship calls.

Nine Carnival Cruise Line ships are down to make between one and 52 calls between October 2014 and September 30th 2015. They include the passenger 3,690-passenger capacity Carnival Breeze (6 calls); the 3,700 passenger capacity Carnival Conquest (8 calls); the 2,974- passenger capacity Carnival Liberty, the 3,720 passenger capacity Carnival Magic; the 2,754 passenger Carnival Triumph (one call each); the 3,006 passenger capacity Carnival Splendor (3 calls); the 3,002 passenger capacity Carnival Sunshine (7 calls) and the 3,700 passenger capacity Carnival Valor (52 calls).

Celebrity Cruise Line ships scheduled to berth are the 2,850 passenger capacity Celebrity Eclipse (10 visits); the 2,850 passenger capacity Celebrity Equinox (8 visits); the 3,030 passenger capacity Celebrity Reflections (1 visit); the 3,147 passenger capacity Celebrity Silhouette (9 visits) and 2,450 passenger capacity Celebrity Summit (13 visits).

Royal Caribbean Cruise Line ships booked for Port Zante are the 3,838 passenger capacity Adventure of the Seas (27 calls); the 2,500 passenger capacity Brilliance of the Seas (1 call); the 4,370 – passenger capacity Independence of the Seas (22 calls) the 2,500 passenger capacity Jewel of the Seas (16 calls); the 2,074 passenger Legend of the Seas (5 calls) and the 4,905 passenger capacity Quantum of the Seas (6 calls).

P & O ships scheduled to visit are the 2,272 passenger capacity Adonia (3 calls); the 3,597 passenger capacity Azura (10 calls); 826 passenger capacity Ocean Princess (1 call); the 2,272 passenger capacity Oceana (2 calls); the 1,975 passenger capacity Oriana (1 call); the 3,600 passenger capacity Royal Princess (14 calls) and the 3,574 passenger capacity Ventura (9 calls).

Making one call during the 2014/2015 season are the 1,100 passenger Crystal Serenity; the 800 passenger MS Albatros and the 1,260 passenger Artania of Phoenix Reisen; the 100-passenger MS Serenissima; Cunard’s 3,090 passenger Queen Mary; Oceania Cruises 1,250 passenger Riviera; Sea Cloud Cruses 96 passenger Sea Cloud II; Silver Sea Cruises, 400 passenger Silver Shadow and the 400 passenger Silver Whisper and the 1,506 passenger Thomson Dream.

Costa Cruises ships – 3,470 passenger capacity Costa Fortuna (7 calls) and the 2,680 passenger Costa Mediterranea will make (3 calls).

Also set to berth at Port Zante are – Aida Cruise ships – 2,500 passenger capacity Aida Bella (10 calls); the 2,500 passenger capacity Aida Luna (1 call) and the 2,500 passenger capacity Aida Vita (1 call).

Norwegian Cruise Line ships berthing will be the 4,941 passenger Norwegian Breakaway (3 calls); the 2,846 passenger Norwegian Gem (3 calls) and the 2,394 passenger Norwegian Pearl (15 calls).

Holland America Line cruise ships are 1,653 passenger Amsterdam (1 call); the 1,627 passenger Maasdam (4 calls) and the 1,214 passenger Noordam (7 calls).

Seabourn Cruise Lines’ 212 passenger Seabourne Legend makes four calls and the 200 passenger Seabourn Spirit with 11 calls.
