(ZIZ News) – Dozens of children have been taking part in various activities this week, as the Antioch Baptist Church’s Summer Programme got underway.
According to Senior Pastor, Lincoln Connor the programme includes the 49th Annual Vacation Bible School.
He said, “Vacation Bible School is used to reinforce certain values that our children have been taught and also to allow them the opportunity to learn more about themselves and about God during the Summer days when the public schools and private schools are out.”
He said they have also set up activities for children who arrive very early in the morning.
“Over the years some of the kids come very early because their parents leave them on their way to work so we have created a game station so that when they come early they can participate in certain games and win prizes and stuff,” he added.
The church’s Summer Programme will include class sessions, a pageant, a parade through the streets of Basseterre, and a sports camp.
