Appeal Court moves Hearing Forward

DenzilDouglas-17(ZIZ News) — The Eastern Caribbean Court of Appeal has responded positively to the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis’ request that the date for hearing the matter related to the discharged injunction be brought forward.

The news today, that the date has been moved forward to Wednesday 4th February, two days before Nomination Day, was welcomed for both the Government and the St. Kitts and Nevis Labour Party’s supporters.

On Friday last week, Prime Minister the Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil Douglas informed the Nation that the February 9th date previously set by the Appeal Court was concerning as Nomination Day, February 6th, had been announced several days before.

The matter will be heard at 10am in St. Lucia.
