Arrest made in Domestic Shooting Incident

ZIZ News — Following the investigation into the shooting of Shawn “Fisherman” Chatram of Stoney Grove, which occurred on Wednesday 28th May 2014. The Violent Crime Unit (VCU) in Nevis has formally arrested and charged the 24 year old son, Kunkarran Chatram of Stoney Grove of the victim for the offence of Attempted Murder.

This matter is one of serious concern to Commissioner C G Walwyn and other members of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force, and all the law abiding and civic minded persons in our community. Therefore, Commissioner C G Walwyn takes this opportunity to encourage both juvenile and adult children living with their parents to humble themselves and respect the authority of their parents, and also to encourage parents to be good role models to their children and give them the proper nurturing and training that are required to harness in the minds of the children that they ought to be law abiding citizens and have respect for themselves and to be good and productive citizens of the country.
