BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS: 7 March, 2013 – Local Consultants for AVON in St. Kitts & Nevis, C&C Trading is coordinating an event to commemorate International Women’s Day on Friday 8th March, 2013.

Taking advantage of its location at the C A Paul Southwell Industrial Park, a tent will be set up outside of its operation from which the women who work on the industrial site will be given free gifts of Avon’s newest fragrances, lipsticks, lotions and other goodies. A special presentation will also be made to Georgina Richards, an employee of Kajola Kristada who lost her house in a fire some months ago.

General Manager of C&C Trading, Ann Saunders said that this gesture is in keeping with AVON’s mission to empower and acknowledge women. “Although we have never done this before, we are happy that Avon has allowed us the opportunity to reach out to the hard working women on the industrial park by providing the gifts.

We are looking forward to sharing the items with these women many of whom are also Sales Representatives for our products,” she added.

Avon describes its business as a company for women and is a leading global beauty company. As the world’s largest direct seller, Avon markets to women in well over 100 countries, through over five million independent Avon Sales Representatives.

International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the economic, political and social achievements of women – past, present and future. In some places like China, Russia, Vietnam and Bulgaria, International Women’s Day is a national holiday.
