Bath One Takes Care of Bath Two

There was a reasonable crowd on hand at the Bath Village Playing field on the evening of Wednesday 22nd May as the CCC Bath United Basil Challenger league continued.

Caribbean Cable Communications, the sponsor of the tournament would have been proud of the intensity in which the match was played, as Bath one which comprises of most of the regulars for the CCC Bath United team and Bath two which comprises of some former members of the established club, along with some new faces, engaged each other.

It was soon obvious however that the Bath one team was having the better of the run of play and there were times when the Bath two team, despite their best efforts, could not get the ball past the half line, in their quest for a goal.

The Bath one team on the other hand was peppering away at the goal and the dapper figure of Patrick Newton had his work load cut out for him.

When the dust settled, Bath One had won by the comfortable margin of 9 goals to 2.

For the Bath two team, Kenny Claxton and Carlos Chapman each struck the back of the net once.

The action continues at the Bath Village playing field when Bath United two will again take the field, this time versus the All Stars team. The match is set to commence at 7 pm.
