Beach Allen Hosts Subject Fair

(ZIZ)– Science, Mathematics, Social Studies, And Language Arts were on display on Friday morning at Beach Allen Primary School’s Subject Fair.

The event is a part of the school’s 22nd Anniversary Week of Activities.

Emelita Warner Paul, Principal of Beach Allen Primary said the week of activities should help to bring the neighboring communities together.

“I think the more activities we can have to include the community the stronger Beach Allen will be coming from those diverse communities so we need to bridge the gap so that is why the week of activities will help to bridge that gap because as the week continues it will catch on and more persons will latch on to it,” she said.

She said that the fair reinforces what the students have learnt throughout the year and prepares them for the upcoming Test of Standards in June.

Wanyaira Wollard, President of the school’s Student Council said the fair is important for kindergarten students.

“I think it’s important to have such a fair so that the kindergarten students who do not know anything about these types of subjects they can discover new things and learn new things,” she said.

Each class presented displays depicting one of the four subject areas.

The week of activities included a clean up at the school, distributions to the elderly, A Fun and Fitness Walk and a breakfast at the school.
