BHS wins SCASPA Quiz

ZIZ News…May 29, 2013 — After weeks of knockout rounds the Basseterre High School has come out on top as the champions of the SCASPA “Best In Class” quiz.

The finals last night boiled down to Basseterre High versus Immaculate Conception Catholic School.

Xavier Jon Bass and Athwon Blackett scored 85 points to take the trophy and the fifteen hundred dollar prize.

Abaigael (Abigail) Breakwell and Pernell Abraham of Immaculate Conception Catholic School scored 45 points.

Charles E Mills Secondary School placed third in the overall competition.

Basseterre High’s Athwon Blackett was judged most outstanding student overall.

Principal of Basseterre High, Carlene Henry Morton says the children worked very hard and deserved it

This is the second year in a row that Basseterre High has won the SCASPA Best in Class Quiz and the third year that they have won best student overall.
