ZIZ News — Community Liaison Officer for the Gingerland area, Michael WISE Herbert, is predicting that over a thousand cricket fans will be at the Hard times playing field this coming Sunday -26th October.
The series of tape ball matches which are geared towards restoring community spirit, will continue at 12.00 noon with a repeat matchup between the over 40’s team and the under 40’s team. This will be a 12 overs contest.
Immediately following the first game, the feature match will see the Rawlins team taking on the Morris team which s a select group of players from around the island, organized by Bus driver Morris. This will be a 20 overs affair.
Man of the match for the first match, will receive $100.00. In the second game, the winning team will receive eight cases of drinks and 200.00. The man of the match for each team will receive $200.00.
Herbert is inviting the entire Nevisian community to come out and witness the very exciting games.
