Body believed to be that of missing teenager from St. Pauls Village found

ZIZ News…June 14, 2012 — The police are yet to officially identify a body found in the White Gate area as that of a missing boy from St. Pauls.

17 year old Jakeel Alford of St Pauls was last seen early in the morning on June 7.

Earlier this morning a huge crowd of people from the neighbouring villages gathered on the stretch of road leading to St. Pauls known as White Gate in the area where the body was found in a well.

Reports stated that a joint team of the Police and Defence Force was patrolling when they noticed a disturbed area that looked like it was set on fire and began to search when they discovered the body believed to be that of the missing teenager from St. Pauls.

The area was cordoned off as the Police carried out their investigation.

Meanwhile in a press release issued by the Press and Public relations Officer earlier today Thursday June 14, 2012, it stated that a search was conducted on the 8th June 2012 for the missing 17 yr old Jakeel Alford of St Pauls. Family members of Jakeel along with the Police K9 Unit searched from the seaside area to an area called Amsterdam.

Three persons two of which are juveniles were taken into police custody in connection with the missing 17yr old. The investigation is still on-going.
