Basseterre, St. Kitts, August 5, 2020 (ZIZ News): A Book of condolence will be placed at the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) in memory of former President Lee Teng-hui.

Friends from St. Kitts and Nevis are invited to record their condolences from 10 AM to 4 PM on August 6-14 (except August 8 and 9) at the Embassy at Taylor’s Range, Basseterre, St. Kitts.

A press statement from the embassy notes “The Embassy is sad to announce the passing of former President Lee Teng-hui on July 30, 2020.

As Taiwan’s first democratically elected President, President Lee is greatly admired by his contributions to Taiwan’s democratic development.”

While paying tribute to President Lee, social distancing protocols will be observed at the Embassy to reduce the spread of coronavirus disease.
