Branding St. Kitts and Nevis in Scotland and the UK

Basseterre, St. Kitts (CUOPM) — A high-powered delegation from the private and public sector, led by the Minister of Tourism and International Transport, Senator Ricky Skerritt, recently left the Federation to attend a series of marketing meetings in London.

These high-profile trade events have been planned to expose the Federation as a viable tourist destination to tour and travel agents in the UK and Scotland. The initiative is being undertaken in partnership with British Airways and tourism stakeholders from both St. Kitts and Nevis.

Minister Skerritt said he was pleased to lead such a delegation, which also included hotel partners and destination management companies.

“We expect that this summit will turn out to be the ideal platform to build on our existing relationships with the UK trade, secure new partnerships and develop new business,” Skerritt said. “We expanded our itinerary to include Scotland this year as we continue to show case the Brand St. Kitts and Nevis. We have exclusive, authentic and quality experiences to offer our visitors beyond Sun, Sea and Sand.”

The delegation from St. Kitts and Nevis includes Government officials from both St. Kitts and Nevis, along with some destination product partners, representing hoteliers, wedding planners and tour companies.

Following the UK meetings, tour and travel agents will visit the Federation with the aim familiarize themselves with the tourism product?
