Breaking News: New Attorney General sworn in

ZIZ Newsroom, Basseterre, January 28, 2013 — Local lawyer Jason Hamilton is the new attorney general.

Hamilton took the oaths of office late Monday afternoon in the presence of the Governor General Sir Edmund Lawrence, Prime Minister the Right Hon. Dr Denzil Douglas, cabinet members and relatives.

Mr. Hamilton replaces the Hon. Patrice Nisbett.

Prime Minister Douglas, Minister Nisbett, and the Hon. Nigel Carty also took oaths of office on Monday for their new portfolios.

A cabinet reshuffle late Friday night gave the ministers new responsibilities.
