British Dignitaries Visit

Governor General His Excellency Sir Edmund Lawrence

ZIZ News…May 8th, 2013 — St. Kitts has been playing host to high level British Dignitaries over the past few days.

Members of the Order of St. Michael and St. George visited the federation yesterday and met with top local officials including Governor General His Excellency Sir Edmund Lawrence and Prime Minister the Right Hon. Dr. Denzil Douglas.

The group includes Sir Harold Walker KCMG, Barrie Gane CMG and Jennifer Gane, Richard Monk CMG, Michael Shaw CMG and Mrs. Elizabeth Shaw, and Andrew Stuart CMG and Susan Stuart.

While here, the group visited Christophe Harbour for a luncheon and a welcoming ceremony.

Persons appointed to the Order of St. Michael and St. George are honoured for rendering important services to Commonwealth Nations.

They hold the title Knight Grand Cross or Dame Grand Cross, Knight Commander or Dame Commandor, or Companion.
