Bushwackers whip Warriors

The tape ball cricket league hosted by the Nevis Sports Department and sponsored by the Development Bank of St. Kitts and Nevis, continued on Thursday night at the ET Willet Park.

The Nurses team was a no show for their female encounter versus Rozel’s team but the second scheduled game between Rawlins Bush wackers and J Warriors created some excitement.

Bush wackers won the toss and elected to bat first and were off to a rollicking start compliments of some erratic bowling by the Warriors as they served up a variety of wides and no balls.

The Bush wackers raced to 26 without loss after just 2 overs.

They eventually got to 90 for 6 from their allotted 10.

Walters top scored with 16; D. Webbe got 14 and extras added 18.

Tavari Liburd got 2 for 16 and Jadel Allen also got 2 for 16.

J Warriors definitely made an effort at chasing the target but only got to 73 all out when their 10 overs were completed.

Quinito Griffin top scored with 21 and J Browne got 12 with extras getting to 10.

D. Edwards got 3 wickets for just 7 runs and L. Freeman got 2 for 1

Rawlins Bush wackers winning by 17 runs.
