Cannabis Seed-To-Sale Tracking System Launched

BASSETERRE: St. Kitts and Nevis is advancing the development of its medicinal cannabis industry with the implementation of a new seed to sale track and trace system.

The Medicinal Cannabis Authority, in collaboration with the Ministry Of Agriculture, Fisheries And Marine Resources, has executed a contract for the digital system, which will monitor the entire supply chain from cultivation to retail.

The system, developed by Canadian service provider Grower IQ, will provide real time tracking of plants, batches and processed products to support transparency, regulatory compliance and prevent illegal diversion.

Minister Of Agriculture, The Honourable Samal Duggins, says the implementation of the system establishes the foundation for commercial licensing, patient registration and future research initiatives within the industry.

Authorities say the new framework will also help meet international financial and operational standards, creating greater confidence for banking partners, local entrepreneurs and potential investors.
