Police Updates

The Police are investigating an incident at the ferry terminal in Basseterre after responding to a report that a man had drowned. 

Several Police Officers have benefitted from a two-hour discussion with His Lordship Justice Iain Morley Q.C. on how to increase the movement of cases through the justice system.

An autopsy was performed on the body of 63-year-old Benson Ramplin of Old Road on February 18, 2022, by Resident Pathologist, Dr. Adrian Nuñez. 

The Police have arrested and charged 36-year-old Kinney James of Greenlands and 28-year-old Glenis Smalls of Lower Cayon for the offences of Possession of Firearm and Possession of Ammunition. They were charged on February 17, 2022. 

On February 01, 2022, 57-year-old Wensley George of the Commonwealth of Dominica, was convicted and sentenced to two (2) years imprisonment for the offence of Illegal Entry at a Port that is not a Formal Port of Entry.

The Police have charged 22-year-old Raheem “Raw” Depusoir of Belle Vue for several offences.

The Police have charged 25-year-old Jelani Duncan of Cabbage Tree, Cayon, for the murder of Lamonte Heyliger of Shear Lane, McKnight, and Jahquan Merritt of Fort Thomas Road, McKnight.

Raheem Depusoir of Belle Vue, for whom a wanted poster was issued, was captured by the Police in the Buckley’s area on Saturday, January 22, 2022.

The Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding an incident in which a woman was shot in the face in Newton Ground.

An autopsy was performed on the body of 57-year-old Victor Moses of Belle Vue Mountain, St. Kitts, on January 19, 2022, by Resident Pathologist, Dr. Adrian Nuñez.

The police have welcomed 7 new officers into their ranks.

The Police are investigating the death of 57-year-old Victor Moses whose body was found by a relative on his farm at Belle Vue Mountain. 

The Police have charged 24-year-old Dashaun Liburd of Cotton Ground, for the offences of Burglary and Wounding with Intent which were committed on January 03, 2022, at Nelson’s Spring, Cotton Ground.
