Cayon shooting update

ZIZ News — Police have revealed further details about a shooting in Cayon on Friday that put a woman in the hospital.

Police public relations officer, Inspector Lyndon David said the woman, Mutrice Francis was not the intended target.

He says investigations revealed that the masked gunmen were apparently firing at a young man who was in the area and a stray bullet hit Francis in the shoulder.

This incident came one day after Akil Anthony was shot at cabbage tree housing project.

David says no one has been arrested for either shooting as yet but investigations are ongoing.
