CCCU Headquarters Opening

ZIZ News — The headquarters of the Caribbean Confederation of Credit Unions was officially opened on Saturday at a ceremony attended by government officials, representatives of financial institutions and other stakeholders.

The CCCU is the governing body of the credit union movement throughout the Caribbean and has been hosted by St. Kitts since 2002, following its relocation from Barbados.
Speaking on behalf of Minister of Finance Prime Minister Dr. Hon. Timothy Harris, Deputy Prime Minister Hon. Shawn Richards congratulated the executive, management and staff on the opening of the new building.

Minister Richards said the regional credit union sector continues to show growth and the situation in St. Kitts and Nevis is reflective of this.

The US $1.3 million headquarters of the Caribbean Confederation of Credit Unions is located at the corner of Wilkin Street and St. Johnston Avenue in Fortlands.
