BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS [SKNIS: August 29, 2011]: Media representatives on Saint Kitts will have an opportunity to dialogue with Justices of the Caribbean Court of Justice during a Press Conference to be held 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, August 30, at the University of the West Indies Open Campus.

The press conference is a major pre-event to the swearing-in ceremony of Sir Dennis Byron, as the next President of the Caribbean Court of Justice. Several judges will be at the Press Conference to provide information and take questions and comments from members of the news media.

Among the educational and awareness CCJ activities arranged are meetings with teachers and principals, school children, the Private Sector, and the general public at town-hall meetings. Sir Dennis Byron is expected to pay a courtesy call, Wednesday, on the Prime Minister, the Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas.

CCJ officials say that Tuesday’s Press Conference is critical to the process of improving knowledge and understanding about the CCJ and its workings to the various publics of the Caribbean. The Press Conference would be carried live for member countries of the Caribbean Community.
