CDT Announces Dance Recital

(Basseterre, St. Kitts- February 27th, 2013) The Children’s Dance Theatre (CDT) recently announced plans to deliver another grand dance recital for which the public has developed an insatiable appetite. Director Julie Martin revealed that on Saturday March 16, over one hundred (100) young performers will grace the stage of the Sir Cecil Jacobs Auditorium in an exciting and powerful production dubbed ‘LIVE! LOVE! DANCE!

Now in its 24th year, CDT continues to grow and evolve while upholding the standards that have made the Theatre so special from the beginning. And with the unique strength of its faculty – Heidi Slack, Shara- Lee Mourillon, Shanda Labega, Krystal Glasford, Nekirah Nicholls, Tama Martin, Xia Claxton and Julie Martin, – patrons can expect a thrilling and captivating display of the ultimate combination of dance, sound and rhythm.

CDT was founded in 1989. Its main aims are to further the art of dance amongst the youths and to provide them with performance opportunities and life lessons. There are three divisions Sparks, Starlights and Rockets, receiving dance lessons in jazz, musical theatre, gymnastics, afro-caribbean, swing, modern and ballet / lyrical.
