CEMSS Hosts Open Day
The Charles E Mills Secondary School held its annual Open Day on Thursday at the school’s campus.
From baked goods, to clothing design and wood work, the students of the Charles E Mills Secondary School had an impressive array of items on display for visitors.
Parents and the general public were invited to the CEMSS grounds to see first-hand some of the work the students have been engaged in over the past year.
Speaking with Ziz about the hosting of the open day, Principal Boris Connor said while it is an annual event, this year, it was hosted with a difference.
He said he was proud of the students for the work put into the displays.
ZIZ News spoke with some of the students who said in their opinion the day had been a success.
The Charles E. Mills Secondary School also hosted a luncheon on Thursday, the proceeds of which are donated to a former teacher of the school.
The school’s day of activities ended with a mini motorcade throughout the communities that the school serves, from sandy point to parsons, to celebrate the school’s 6th consecutive win of the Inter-High School Championships in March.
