Changes made to local cricket schedule

President of the Nevis Cricket Association, Keith Scarborough announced on Wednesday that some forced changes will cause the opening of the 2014 cricket league to be pushed back by one week and hence the commencement of the upcoming leagues will also be pushed back slightly.

This as quite a number of persons will be attending the funeral service of the late Sheryl Claxton of Brown hill.

The opening ceremony is now slated for Thursday 20th February and Scarborough is happy to report that a few sponsors have already come on board to assist his Association.  He noted that these sponsors will be revealed on the day of the opening.

The new schedule of events is as follows:

10/10 league—22nd and 23rd February

Second division—27th February

1st division one day—22nd March

Two day 1st division—3rd May
