Opening remarks were delivered by Sports Coordinator within the Ministry of Education, Ms Michelle Sutton who engaged the young cricketers and discovered that they had learnt such virtues as team spirit; and sportsmanship.

Senior executive officer at TDC, the chief sponsor of the tournament for well over ten years, Mr. Warren Moven, took time out to congratulate the young cricketers on their achievements this year and saluted the achievements of the Charlestown Primary School on winning the championship trophy, yet again.

He noted that his company was celebrating its 40th anniversary and that it had only been successful because of the support of the general public. He noted that the company would always seek ways of giving back to the community and support for the youthful cricket program, was only one such way.

He then assisted with the presentation of trophies and medals to the deserving teams and individual top performers.

The vote of thanks was delivered by Coach at the St.Thomas’ Primary School, Mr. Emmanuel Richards-Caines who made a significant observation that the children had developed new and lasting friendships during the tournament as well.
