ZIZ News…Feb 21 2012 — The cheese bandits as they have been called will know their fate when the Magistrate hands down her sentence later today Tuesday February 21.

When the case was heard on Monday by Her Lordship Josephine Mallalieu at the Basseterre Magistrate’s Court, they both Resia Caines and Nail Dalton begged for leniency citing a number of reasons for going on a stealing spree at several supermarkets before being caught at Valu Mart.

According to a Police source, Dalton who is said to be the boyfriend of Resia Caines is a Guyana National who has been living in St. Kitts for a number of years.

The couple was being monitored on surveillance camera upon entering Valu Mart IGA Supermarket, apparently after being successful at stealing from other supermarkets.

A check on the surveillance cameras at the other supermarkets also confirmed that the bandits entered their establishment and stole a number of food items including cheese before leaving undetected.
