Child Evangelism Fellowship Reaching Children In The Age Of COVID-19

Basseterre, St. Kitts, August 13, 2020 (ZIZ News): The Child Evangelism Fellowship is seizing the new opportunities offered through the covid19 pandemic to reach young people all across the world with the gospel and here in St. Kitts it is no exception.

In an interview with ZIZ News via Zoom, Regional Director of North America Caribbean and Canada Beltane Harrigan, said the Child Evangelism Fellowship is an organization that is made up of born again believers.

He said the Child Evangelism Fellowship is the largest organization in the world which reaches boys and girls every day with the gospel.

“Somewhere in this world, children are being impacted with the gospel of Jesus Christ through this ministry and we have seen from historical statistics that the ripest age for children to come to faith in Christ is between the ages of 4 and 14. So we want to be able to make sure that all peoples of the world have that opportunity and that we can use the different peoples who know their culture best to be able to present the gospel.”

National coordinator of the Child Evangelism Fellowship St. Kitts And Nevis Jewel Wilkins spoke of what the fellowship hopes to achieve.

“We hope to accomplish through Child Evangelism Fellowship, our vision of reaching every boy, every girl, every nation, every day and by doing this and achieving this vision we want to partner with the churches and train the workers. We want to also equip workers with materials we offer to the churches. Through doing that we ring the gospel to boys and girls that every boy and girl hears the gospel.”

Area Director for the North Eastern Caribbean Florita Kentish said the fellowship cares that children are cared for spiritually and growing in their faith and spoke of the significance of evangelising children.

“Evangelism is key. Bringing a child to faith in Jesus Christ, that’s the only thing that has the power to transform a life completely and so we believe in evangelism; we believe it’s the most important thing that we do. Even in our region here, we have grown like a fiery furnace of prayer, raising up much prayer the ministry especially during this covid time, we have reenergised when it comes to prayer. We realise if we don’t pray, our work is all in vain.”

Child Evangelism Fellowship has various ministries for children including the Good News Club and the 5-Day Club which take place in neighbourhood settings such as homes, backyards, schools and community centres all over the world.
