Child Rescued by Police from Attacking Dogs

ZIZ News—30th July, 2013–Officers of the Special Services Unit responded to a report that a child was attacked by dogs on Saturday 27th July 2013 at about 11:05 PM, which resulted in the child being taken to the hospital.

Initial investigation revealed that three (3) Pit Bulls attacked the child and a round was discharged in order to get the dogs away from the child.

In other news, Officers of the St. Paul’s Police Station are investigating the circumstances which resulted in the destruction of a boat by fire which occurred at Inner Circle, James Avenue, St. Paul’s Village about 3:55 PM on Saturday 27th July, 2013.

Initial investigation revealed that a boat V 4-414-DB-Daphne was discovered on fire which was extinguished by members of the Sandy Point Division of the St. Kitts and Nevis Fire and Rescue Services, and the boat was completely destroyed by the fire.

Meanwhile, Officers of The Sandy Point Police Station are investigating the circumstances under which the home of Jakie Jeffers of the Alley, Sandy Point was on fire. The fire was extinguished by the Sandy Point Division of the St. Kitts and Nevis Fire and Rescue Services. Initial investigation revealed that attempted arson is suspected.
