CIBC FirstCaribbean International Bank Reaches Out

Basseterre– CIBC FirstCaribbean has reached out, once more, to care for what matters in the communities it serves.

Manager Retail Banking and Operations/Country Lead, St Kitts and Nevis, Mrs G Diane Francis says: “During March 2014 the bank was pleased to make contributions towards the youth, through a donation to the St. Kitts and Nevis Amateur Athletic Association (SKNAAA) for the Inter-schools Athletics Meet; and to health, in the form of support for the free Kidney Screening exercise mounted by the Ministry of Health.”

According to Mrs Francis the donation to the SKNAAA, went towards expenses incurred on behalf of the students over the weekend of the Sports Meet. In the case of the Kidney Screening exercise, the funds were used to help cover the costs incurred for volunteer workers and attendees.

Mrs Francis says that the contributions were in keeping with the bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility programme and that the bank was pleased to be able to support community efforts in St. Kitts.

CIBC FirstCaribbean International Bank intends to play a key role in the growth and development of the region, its countries and its people. As part of its corporate social agenda, CIBC FirstCaribbean contributes to hundreds of organizations at national, regional and local levels. The bank is committed to partnering with communities in the 17 countries in which it operates.
