(ZIZ)–Commissioner of Police, Celvin Walywan says he is pleased with the behaviour of the revellers at J’ouvert 2013.
In an interview with ZIZ, he said J’ouvert went well and finished at the scheduled time.
However, some persons called for J’ouvert to go beyond its scheduled end time since there were no incidents.
In response, the Commissioner said the police cannot be overworked.
“The police however are human beings and we can’t over work the police; we can’t have fatigue. J’ouvert went well and it finished when it was suppose to,” he said.
Commissioner Walwyn says there were no major incidents for J’ouvert and is calling on revellers and patrons of other Carnival events to ensure all of them end without violence.
