Constituency Number Six teams suffer home defeats in Constituency #7 Domino League

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, August 23, 2019 (PLP PR Media Inc.) — Defending champions Parsons Domino Club, the first team from outside Constituency Number Seven to win the championship, playing at home in Back Way Bar, Parsons Ground, suffered a narrow defeat on Thursday August 22 in the first round of the annual Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris Domino League competition.

Giants Domino Club, a team that has so far lost four games in the first round of this year’s edition of the longest running domino league which is sponsored by Prime Minister and Area Parliamentary Representative for Constituency Number Seven, Dr the Hon Timothy Harris, had reason to celebrate when they floored the defending champions 13-12 in that hotly contested game.

The second team from Constituency Number Six, Saddlers Domino Club, suffered a devastating home defeat at the hands of former champions Unity Patriots Domino Club who handed them a 13-3 licking in their game that was played at Shanty Bar in Saddlers Village.

In other games played on Thursday August 22, Small Corner Bar Domino Club beat Molineux Domino Club 13-9 at the Lodge Community Centre; Christchurch Domino Club narrowly beat Sylvers Domino Club 13-12 at Tacky Bar in Hidden Alley, Lodge Village; while Guinness Domino Club picked up a 13-0 win over Phillips Domino Club who failed to turn up for their encounter at Edgar Gilbert Sports Complex pavilion in Molineux.

After eight segments of play in the first round of the 24th edition of the annual Constituency Number Seven Dr the Hon Timothy Harris Domino League, Unstoppable leads with 31 points, followed by Small Corner 30 points, Parsons and Unity Patriots 29 points each, Saddlers 23 points, Giants and Guinness 19 points each, Sylvers and Christchurch 18 points each, Molineux 13 points, and Phillips 11 points.

Ninth segment of play in the first round of this year’s edition of the domino competition will be on Tuesday August 27 at four venues, with the Lodge Community Centre in Lodge Project hosting two of the games – Giants vs. Unity Patriots, and Sylvers vs. Small Corner Bar. Defending champions Parsons will be at home in Back Way Bar in Parsons Ground against Unstoppable; Molineux will meet Guinness at the Edgar Gilbert Sports Complex pavilion in Molineux; while Christchurch will face Saddlers at Domino House in Mansion Village.
