CPS in close shave with VOJN
Sports Page — The Primary Schools’ cricket tournament continued at the ET Willet Park on Wednesday 2nd July.
On this occasion, it was the Charlestown Primary School coming up against the VOJN team in a very intriguing contest.
The VOJN team batted first and scored an impressive 110 all out, on the back of a belligerent even half century by Peter Charles.
The CPS team was in deep waters early in their response as they lost 4 wickets before they got to 40.
However, the main difference between the two teams was the hard hitting Jaheim Clarke who benefitted from a couple of chances but batted handsomely nonetheless, to be not out at the end.
He was ably assisted in the match winning effort by Jahvian Barrett who batted sensibly before he was lbw.
