Cradles Nursery held breast cancer screening event on Friday

Cradles Nursery in collaboration with KARE Nursing agency hosted a breast screening event on Wear Pink Day on Friday as part of the Breast Cancer Awareness activities.

The event was held to honor Owner of Cradles Nursey, Beverly Fyfield-Ible’s mother who died from cancer on October 25 two years ago.

Lester Ible who is the husband of Mrs. Ible said the school looks forward to hosting the screenings annually.

Owner of KARE Nursing Agency, Keisha Rawlins served as a caretaker for the mother of Mrs. Fyfield-Ible. She said CARE was more than pleased to collaborate on the breast cancer awareness event.

Students at Cradles Nursery were also dresses in their pink and white Breast Cancer themed t-shirts.

Each year October is celebrated globally as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The annual campaign aims to increase awareness of the disease as well as raise funds for prevention programs and support services.
