(ZIZ News) — Minister of Culture, Hon. Shawn Richards says the Nation can expect a bigger and better Carnival this year.
During an interview with ZIZ News, Minister Richards said his ministry is already undertaking discussions with the various stakeholders about Carnival.
He said the support from the general public has been commendable.
Speaking of the planned events, Minister Richards said it is important that private groups continue to host events during the Carnival season.
“They have become an important part of the Carnival calendar, for example Cooler Fete, Inception. I think that these are activities that persons look forward to and as much as possible, we would want to encourage the organisers to continue with those activities. We have had questions about Ms. St. Kitts because we have potential customers wanting to send in applications. I have had visits from persons involved in Soca Monarch and the various other art forms and cultural activities that we would see for Carnival,” he said.
