Culturist visits St. Kitts

(ZIZ) Cultural Educator Victor Sams is in St. Kitts promoting a program that involves youths in the preservation of the Caribbean’s Cultural Heritage.

Sams who is from St. Eustatius with Kittitian parentage has a musical background as a Reggae Singer and a Rhytmic African Drumer.  He teaches Cultural EDUCATION in school and organises a musical workshops as well as a festival call “Back to the Roots.”

Sams says his knowledge of rhytmn and in motivating young people will help in the program to breathe life and therefore interest in our culture.

The Cultural Educator says he has enjoyed the cultural presentations put on during the Carnival season since that form of cultural art seems to be dying out throughout the Caribbean.

He has been meeting with cultural officials here to discuss workshops and other means of promoting the cultural arts in St. Kitts and Nevis.
