Debate on Public Service Bill continues on Thursday in the National Assembly

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, JUNE 20TH 2011 (CUOPM) – Lawmakers will continue debate on the Public Service Bill 2011, when the St. Kitts and Nevis National Assembly meets on Thursday.

The session which started on June 2nd and continued on June 3rd has already debated and passed the Liquor Licences (Amendment) Bill, 2011.

National Parliament

Debate on The Public Service Bill, 2011, which was given its First Reading on October 26th 2010, began on June 2nd and continued on June 3rd when the adjournment was taken.

Lawmakers passed The Liquor Licences (Amendment) Bill, 2011 on June 2nd.

The Pharmacy Bill, 2011, given its First Reading on March 31st this year and which was on the Order Paper was removed following an amendment proposed by Deputy Prime Minister and Leader of Government Business, the Hon. Sam Condor.

Another bill, The Gang (Prohibition and Prevention) Bill, 2011 was introduced and given its First Reading by Deputy Prime Minister Condor.
