December 11th Drag Meet Exclusive to St. Kitts and Nevis

ZIZ News…Nov 15 2011 – Carlos Vanterpool of the Drag Racing Unit in an interview with NTV Sports on Monday 14th November, indicated that the upcoming drag race meet on December 11th will be an exclusive matchup between racers from St. Kitts and Nevis.
He stated that there are a few cars on Nevis belonging to the Trinidad and St. Lucia racers but that if they were allowed to participate as they are requesting they would only be allowed to participate as guest racers on the big day.
Administrative Secretary, Tasha Parry indicated that all was in place for registration of cars and vendors and that contact could be made with the Drag Racing Unit located at the Cotton House in Charlestown. Contact number 469-1369.
Nick Williams who is also a part of the Drag Racing Unit indicated that the top cars from both islands would have already recorded competitive times in past races and that each vehicle has its own fan club. He is therefore looking forward to a really exciting race meet come December 11th.
Vanterpool further indicated that the race meet will commence at 10am as the sun sets very early at this time of year and he does not want to have any races in the dark.
The cover charge for the big day will be $20 for adults and $10 for children under age 12. It will be the final official race at the St. James’ Raceway for 2011.
