Department of People’s Empowerment lends itself to nationals in the diaspora

(ZIZ News) — The Department of People’s Empowerment is at the disposal of nationals within the diaspora, to assist in any way possible.

This was revealed by Director of the Department of People’s Empowerment Duncan Wattley, in addressing nationals in the British Virgin Islands at a town hall meeting.

He said, “I am serious when it comes to the advancement of people no matter creed, race, political affiliation. So we are taking that information so that you can be in touch with us. Ask for Mr. Wattley, ask for Ms. Williams or whoever in government and reach out to us and I guarantee you, we are going to do the best that we can to ensure that you are comfortable.”

Wattley said the Department of People’s Empowerment endeavours to stay in contact with nationals all over the world.

“The efforts by my department are to reach out to people, not only in St. Kitts but throughout the entire diaspora keep you abreast of what is happening. I would want you to do the same,” he said.

The town hall meeting took place at the Althea Scatliffe Primary School in Road Town, Tortola.
