Deputy PM Richards says cabinet members to visit schools next week

Basseterre, St. Kitts, September 5, 2019 (ZIZ News): Members of Cabinet and other government officials will be visiting schools next week as part of the 36th anniversary of Independence Celebrations.

During an appearance on Wednesday’s edition of “Working For You” on ZIZ Radio, Deputy Prime Minister, Hon. Shawn Richards said members usually present on the selected Independence theme and address the importance of national building.

This year’s selected theme is, “…Unify, Transform, Enrich, Uplifting Communities for Independence 36!”

The Deputy Prime Minister who is also Minister of Education explained why he believes the visits come at an opportune time, noting that the visits allow primary level students to interact with members of cabinet.

The school visits are scheduled to take place on Tuesday September 11 and Wednesday September 12.

Cabinet Members in Nevis will also be visiting schools there on both days.
