Devery Lewis wins at JLPS

Sports Page — The Jocelyn Liburd Primary school held its senior girls’ cross country on Thursday 5th February.

The route taken commenced just above the Gingerland Police Station; up through Hard Times; through the lower section of Rawlins Village; entering the main road at Market Shop and then back to the school.

It was a ding-dong battle between Devery Lewis and Jareecia Browne, with the lead exchanging hands at various points of the route. However, in the final analysis, Devery endured and had enough wind left to cross the finish line in first place with Jareecia forced to settle for second.
