Digicel rocks Nevis with first Road Show of 2012

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS (February 8th, 2012) -When the people of the Federation hear “Road Show” they automatically think Digicel, affordable handsets and lots of fun! This past Saturday 4th February, the people of Nevis enjoyed the first Digicel Road Show of 2012. With a choice of either the Samsung 1086 or Coral 185, they were able to join The Bigger, Better Network as first-time customers or purchase a Digicel handset to add to their collection. Both durable and affordable phones were priced at EC$60 each and are equipped with an FM Radio. Anyone who purchased a Digicel handset during the Road Show also received a complimentary $10 top-up which could be used to call anyone, anywhere and anytime.

The Road Show started from the Digicel Office at the Henville Building and made its way to various villages around the island. Before making its exit from Charlestown, the Digi Team was stopped by anxious customers who purchased multiple handsets and received free credit. The friendly Digi Crew, which included Digicel Staff, Digi Girls & MC Piece-a-man, took time-out for photos with a few familiar faces and assisted customers with queries. The next stop was the parking lot of RAM’S Supermarket, where shoppers rushed out of the Grocery store to make their purchases, ensuring they did not miss out on the great deal of the day. The music-loaded Digi Safari Truck then headed to Cherry Gardens and the Brown Hill area, where Digicel recently erected a new cell site. Persons in these areas made sure to commend Digicel for this recent development in the area, commenting on the improvement in coverage and service.

“If our customers are not able to come to us, we will ensure that we take our products and services to them,” said Yasmine Hanley, Sales & Marketing Executive for Digicel. “Digicel customers are always looking forward to the next Road Show and this is our way of meeting their needs, which we will always strive to do,” she continued.

Since Digicel’s inception in St. Kitts and Nevis, Road Shows have become a staple in the company’s promotions. Road Shows are rewarding to both the customer and the company; the customers are able to purchase inexpensive handsets and Digicel staff members develop lasting friendships with the customers.
