Disappointing turn out for National Junior Championships but outstanding performances

ZIZ Sports…March 9, 2010 – It was a long and challenging competition on Saturday at the Silver Jubilee National Stadium with the hosting of the National Junior Championships and CARIFTA trials.

Following the competition, four athletes qualified for the CARIFTA Games with one athlete meeting the “A” standard, a first for the federation in recent qualifiers.

However, speaking to the public relations officer for the SKNAAA Evris Huggins, there were a few disappointments added to the achievements of the CARIFTA Qualifiers.

When asked by ZIZ Sports about his opinion on the standards of the competition, Huggins said it was a satisfactory result compared to recent events.
