Basseterre, St. Kitts, December 9, 2019 (ZIZ News): Non-profit organization Champs for Charity Foundation donated items to the pediatric ward at the JNF hospital in a short handing-over ceremony at the hospital on Saturday.

Among the items donated were 30 pillows, 144 bed sheets, 75 pillow cases, 50 folding chairs, 400 pampers and 1 book case.

Chairperson at the Champs for Charity Foundation, Shirley Julius said that creating the Champs for Charity foundation 5years ago allowed individuals to make “a better St. Kitts”.

About 5 years ago, I decided that we weren’t doing enough as individuals so we came together and decided that we want to make a better St. Kitts and so we decided to start Champs for Charity and I am very pleased to be here to give back to my community.”

Assistant Matron at JNF Hospital, Sandra Lestrade Caines thanked the foundation and noted that instilling principles, such as giving, in children must start from an early age.

The Champs for Charity foundation was established to provide financial and other assistance to members and groups of the St. Kitts & Nevis communities in areas of health, education and socio-economic development.
