Don’t leave your home before 6 am

Basseterre, St. Kitts, April 27, 2020 (ZIZ News): As businesses reopen for 4 days of limited operations this week the police is reminding the public that the overnight curfews still remain.

During his presentation at the Daily Covid-19 Briefing On Sunday Superintendent Cromwell Henry said some people are leaving their homes before six a.m. to line up outside of businesses and this is an offence.

<<VTR>> “There are some persons who tend to leave their homes before 6 am to form lines at business places in Basseterre. Please note you run the risk of being turned back or even being detained by law enforcement if you are found in public before 6 a.m.,” he said.

This week Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday will be days of limited operations where a wider variety of businesses will be allowed to open as long as they follow guidelines outlined by the health authorities.

A night curfew remains in effect from 7:01 pm to 6 am the following day. Wednesday will be a full 24 hour lockdown.
