Dr. Simeon Daniel named a National Hero

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, SEPTEMBER 16TH 2013 (CUOPM) – St. Kitts and Nevis’ Governor General His Excellency Sir Edmund Lawrence has just announced that former Premier of Nevis, the late Dr. Simeon Daniel is a National Hero.

“Acting on the advice of the Rt. Hon.Dr. Denzil L. Douglas has graciously approved National Hero postumously to Dr. Simeon Daniel,” the Government House Announcement said Monday (National Heroes Day).

Other National Heroes are the Right Excellent Sir Robert L. Bradshaw; the Right Excellent Sir C. A. Paul Southwell and the Right Excellent Sir Joseph N. France.

Sir Simeon Daniel is the second Nevisian to be named a National Hero.
