Earl and Countess of Wessex thank PM Douglas, people

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS, MARCH 30TH 2012 (CUOPM) – The Earl and Countess of Wessex enjoyed their recent visit to the Federation and have expressed thanks and best wishes to Prime Minister the Rt. Hon. Dr. Denzil L. Douglas and the people.

“The Earl and Countess of Wessex have asked me to say how very grateful they were for your welcome when they visited St. Kitts and Nevis to represent Her Majesty The Queen in her Diamond Jubilee Year,” said Brigadier John Smedley, Private Secretary to Their Royal Highnesses.

He said the programme with visits to the Basseterre National Park, Brimstone Hill Fortress, Joseph N. France General Hospital and the St. Christopher’s Children’s Home were excellent and Their Royal Highnesses “were grateful for the opportunity to talk to so many people.”

“Their Royal Highnesses much enjoyed their visit and would be grateful if you would pass their thanks to members of your government and their staff for all the excellent arrangements,” said the letter to Prime Minister Douglas.
