Earthquake Felt Across St. Kitts And Nevis Thursday Morning

On Thursday July 23 at about 5:36 a.m. residents and citizens of St. Kitts and Nevis sent messages of concern on social media questioning what many say felt like an earthquake.

The University of the West Indies (UWI), Seismic Research Centre in Trinidad has since confirmed that an earthquake did occur North East of St. Kitts and Nevis.

It was located at 17.42°N and 62.65°W with a magnitude of 2.7.

According to the Seismic Research Centre, the quake recorded a depth of 1.3 km.

There have been no reports of major damage.
